The words keep echoing in my head,
I back away,
I try to hide,
But what's this feeling,
Ominous dread,
It gnaws inside,
Walk the wrong path,
Take the wrong turn,
From rose bushes,
To a stake,
Burned,
I clutch the memories,
But they bite,
I wipe the tears,
Yet they pour inside,
Still it echoes in my head,
