She watched as his muscles flexed when he reached for the book. The lightly tanned skin stretching across bones, muscles, tendons, flesh. She wondered what it would feel like to run her hands up his arms and bury her face against the crook of his neck where the sharpness of his breastbone curved beneath the crisp black shirt collar. Her breath caught in her throat as his eyes shifted to hers, questioning. Warm liquid chocolate eyes that threatened to engulf her. That sensuous mouth half lifted in a confused smile as if saying "Do I know you?". She bit her lip nervously. Ran her tongue over her lips. Once. Twice. He turned back to his book, one leg casually thrown over the arm of the plush armchair he was lounging in. She was turning back to reality with a tinge of disappointment when a shadow fell across her vision. "Join me for a cup of coffee?" his husky voice cut through her thoughts.
