Halcyon days

Time to say goodbye,
For a little while,
The clouds obscure the moon,
That shone so bright on my life,
And I wave away,
The tears that threaten to fly,
Not forever I tell myself,
I'll be back soon enough,
Time will go by,
I wave to the world I know,
Smile at the memories,
Of me,
Of you,
Of our time,
Time to say goodbye,
It'll be but a while,
Our halcyon days are bound to come again.
