Square one

All our days of running in the sun,
Have ended,
The carefree days of youth,
Have run,
Their course is done,
And we will not relive those memories,
Of yesterdays,
Spent together,
Laughing,
Having fun,
Together as one,
We cling to the distant echoes,
And when we meet again,
Pretend like we never lost the time,
And with simple hellos and a smile,
We start again,
From square one.
