It's goodbye to the streets I've walked,
The places I've been,
The familiar sights,
That for years,
I've always seen,
The same cozy bed I wake up in,
The memories that linger,
In the wooden flooring,
The smell of the closet as I dress for the day,
The milk in the fridge where it always is,
The big puppy eyes that greet me in the morning,
Even the warmth of the shower on me,
Reminds me of home,
This is my comfort zone,
Where I have always been,
So goodbye, goodbye,
Till we meet again,
It's dramatic I know,
But I can't but blink,
As I watch it grow,
Smaller as we travel away,
From my home.
