Reckless heart that knew no fear,
Held nothing and no one dear,
Pushed away all that held back,
Sentimental feelings constantly in check,
Always bitter,
Cynical child,
No one could come close,
No one would take a while,
Could not understand,
Could not retrieve,
This one restless heart that would be free,
Walled up emotions,
Chains locked tight,
Stronger boundaries,
Trapped in ice,
Years spent building walls of stone,
Heart wrapped in iron,
Sarcasm held the throne.
